The Central Coast Baton Twirlers are located in Mountain View, CA.

 

The team began in the more southern part of the Central Coast in San Luis Obispo, CA. We've been twirling together since January 2010 and have twirled in fun events like the San Luis Obispo Holiday Parade, the Cal Poly Youth Football Pre-Game Show, the Arroyo Grande Harvest Festival Parade, and the Madonna Health and Fitness Expo!

 

Coach Kristen started twirling at the young age of 8 years old with her childhood team Fantasia (Riverside, CA) and then began competing at age 10. As a competitive baton twirler, she captured many wins at the NBTA California State and All-West Regional Baton Championships and placed in the top 5 in the Intermediate Senior Pageant at America’s Youth On Parade, the National Baton Twirling Competition held at Notre Dame University. She has also traveled to other exciting places like Disneyland, Walt Disney World Florida, and Pearl Harbor Hawaii to perform and compete! She first began mentoring for and then teaching baton at the age of 15.

 

From 2008-2012, Kristen accomplished one of her biggest twirling dreams by serving as the Feature Twirler for the Cal Poly "Pride of the Pacific" Mustang Marching Band at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo! She absolutely loved twirling on the field with her friends in the marching band and enjoyed pleasing the crowd with up to 3 regular batons and 2 fire batons at once. During her college years, Kristen founded her own business, the Central Coast Baton Twirlers!

Today, the team practices and performs in Mountain View, CA through the Recreation Department.
